I have webroot spy sweeper and a disk defragmenter. do i also need something like norton antivirus?

go to DOWNLOADS.COM and down load the free AVG virus protection...then you can decide if you want to buy nortons later.
also download Adaware and use it a few times a day...

you definately need a antivirus program, firewall, anti spyware, and i'd also recommend pop up blocker..... check out pcmagazine.com and see what they recommend for these... as for a seperate defragger i'd say ditch it... all those optimize programs just screw your pc up in the long run.... trust me... been there and sone that.... also the free ones are exactly that, you get what you pay for...

You only need one firewall and spyware,adware,virus protection all of these are free so just google it and see which one you want on your cpu. Also try microsoft

norton would be a good idea, but as long as you have a router firewall and windows firewall running - and you are safe online, you should be okay
