It started months ago at first it was he could only see his son on certern weekends then she would not come to any family event where his ex ( his sons mother) would be now that we have gotten angry about this she has twisted it and is poisioning his mind agenst his family. We have not had any contact with him for months and any time we do try to say something she twists it to use agaist us. clearly she has issues and that is the reason she is making his world so small, to the point where he is totally reliant on her and her alone. his friends dont contact him anymore cause he turns them away (probably under instruction) the worst part is that his son of 11 years has muscular dystrophy and will have a shortend life span anyway. My brother is missing all these good times with him. Any ideas how to show him were not evil and we love and miss him with out her twisting it?

love him anyway. he sees whats going on he feels he is caught between his family and his girl. but leave him be for a minute and he will wiggle his way out of that trap cause he does feel smothered. if you are already a loving family and he has grown up with much love he knows you guys have not changed. with his son. dont say his life is shortened is challenged. i battle with a neuromuscular disease and it is just a challenge no matter what, but the baby needs family support. if you could express that to your brother and then leave it he will marinate in it.

2. Your brother is weak. Many times people couple with a nasty partner, because the nasty person will express what they don't have the guts to. She shields him from what he doesn't want to deal with. Believe me, he knows what's going on and should know better.
3. He knows his son's condition and his actions say that he can't be bothered. And if his current wife's problem with the ex is the issue — how shameful.
4. You can't walk a person through life. He will have to live with the results. But this is giving you a real insight into his lack of character.
5. Just give your nephew as much love and care that you can.

A lot of women get very very jealous over the X wife /girlfriend etc
that is why your brother is not allowed there when the X is there!!
If Your brother & all your family can let her know you all love her & accept her & don't have the X there when there is a party etc things will be better.Because your brother doesn't love the X anymore he loves the new girl & all of you have got to understand that
He does have to see his son
but surely that can be done with out the Mum there.

He knows your not evil. Try taking him to lunch and talking with him and let him know you love him no matter what.

MYOB.It is your brother's problem and he can see it. You will only end up driving him away if you try to do anything about this problem.
