I wouldn't recommend any trips for kids that young
Diapers, strollers, car seats etc.
When I worked at a pre-school we took the 3 & 4 year olds on a trip to the suppermarket. They gave us a tour & free samples.
Also the post office, & a miovie theater to see flipper.
We went to a resturant for a tour. And weekly trips to the pool club for swimming lessons. (I worked there over the summer)

With Halloween just around the corner why don't you take them to a pumpkin patch. Usually there will be a petting zoo and pony rides, and not to mention tons of pumpkins. Some place may even offer a package deal if there are enough kids. Be sure to gather as much help as you can. Most parents would love to accompany their kids on their field trip. Have Fun!

I would not recommend taking kids at that age on a trip. If you did I would make it that each child had to have a parent with them to go. At that young of and age it is impossible to keep up with one or more and for them to get anything out of it. Once they turn 4 I would recommend trips to go with the topic you are teaching like if you are teaching about animals you might go to the zoo or a farm. etc. Another thing you could do is invite special people to come in to tell what they do. We had the fire department to come one a year and we would talk about fire safety and they would give the kids a ride of the fire engine.......Make sure to take lots of pictures. Some kids will be scared of the siren or horns so take that in to count.
I taught 4 year olds for many years and did alot of theme days with the kids and they loved it and I think it would also work for the younger ones. Here are some of the things I did I also posted some good websites below for you to give you some other ideas.
Theme Days
1. Pancake and Pajama Day
You can ask one of your parents to help you out that day and you could either make the pancakes there or even buy the ones that you put in the toaster. You could read the book "If you give a pig a Pancake" by Laura Joffe Numeroff you could either check this book out from the LIbrary or it is a great book to have for your class if you can afford to buy it.
2.March 2 is Dr. Seuss Birthday you could have Dr. Seuss day and read his books and have Green eggs and have for snack.
3.Teddy Bear Picnic..........have all the kids bring there favorite teddy bears ....make sure there names are on the tags so they will not get mixed up. and if it warm have lunch outside and bring teddy grahmams for there special treat. I would read the book Brown Bear Brown Bear. The kids really love it and by the end of the year they can read it to you.
etc. I could go on and on........lol
If you get a chance check out some of the websites I listed below it will give you more Ideas.

it really depends on how many kids are in the group. If you can see them all at the same time, then maybe the beach is a good idea. They can play in the water but you should enforce a rule that they can only go up until the water hits their ankles or something.

You can go to Gardens, parks or riverside or Amusement rides etc. But avoid children from straying and never allow young kids to go near water alone. You can take them zoological parks, show them birds and animals.

I would not recommend field trips nowhere. make them watch cartoons or hire a clown but do not risk your self for unnecessary trouble with kids that age. YUo just never know!

all age is great when fun is the main thing. children at that age can go to places like picnic, but do not forget the mosquito spray, baby pools, they love the water... see its water play... or the parks.
