so i have these black spots between the ridges of my molars, some even form a black line, but some are tiny little dots.

i tried everything i could think of to see if they're caries. driking HOT and freezing cold liquids, breathing in cold air, poking at them with lots of pressure using a dentist hook etc. none seem to give a positive ID. i feel NO toothache what-so-ever.

are they really caries? what else can they be?

Have you asked the dentist??? I hope your're not poking yourself.

I have them too and will be asking my dentist at my next appt. My boyfriend thinks they are the beginning of caries but not big enough to need to be addressed by the dentist.

Maybe brushing and fluoride can keep them from getting bigger.

hi, lots of the solutions you have won are ideal on, yet permit me upload this...The black spot could be in basic terms a organic discoloration "or" it could mean that below that black spot is an extremely great part of deep decay....do no longer overlook approximately it get a particular diagnosis approximately what it rather is precisely...If that's decay and you cope with it now you would be able to desire to stay away from a extra serious treatment plan. sturdy luck and that i want you properly.
