You need to make a clarification between atomic or A-Bombs, hydrogen or H-Bombs or Enhanced Warhead Devices or Neutron Bombs. And if they are strategic or tactical weapon.

Also their total number considered active or in reserve. All the numbers provided are combined weapons and of course unclassified.

And while the site referenced by TOM COLLINS is comprehensive but it requires the math (while simple) to determine the final numbers based on the numbers produced, detonated, retired, never placed into production, etc. I have used that site several times for my own use.

The USA has a total of 10,740 warheads (different from bombs) of which 789 are tactical weapons, The advantage that the USA has over other Nuke countries is our advanced delivery systems , c.e.p. (circular error of probability) meaning the accuracy of the weapon to hit within say...100 meters of the target...and believe me the cep is much, much better than that than 100m and our MIRV technology.

OK...number of warheads

USA 10,740 (A & H-Bombs & Neutron)
Russua 16,000 (A & H- Bombs...estimate)
UK <200 (A& H- Bombs)
France 300 (A & H- Bombs)
China (PRC) 130 (A & H-Bombs)
India 77-115 (A Bombs)
Pakistan 65- 90 (A Bombs)
Noth Korea 1- 10 (A Bombs)

Non Declared Isreal with 75-200 (types unknown)

Hope this is of some use.

the guy who listed all the numbers is incorrect i know that the ssbn ballistic missile submarines at one point in the 80's had the capability to carry over 5000 warheads and that is just ballistic submarines. not to include all land based, air based and other tactical weapons used by the navy not classed as ballistic.
