Once again you think you can see,but the wisdom of man is foolishness compared to God's. First of all there is no such thing as an atheist !! An atheist is someone who says that God does not exist. In order to say that something does not exist, you must have detailed knowledge of all things in existence !! No man has this knowledge, therefore no man can say that there is no God. Second of all, you do not " try out " Christ !! Once you surrender your will to the will of the Father, you will be forever transformed into a wonderful new creature. You cannot " try Him on " like some type of clothing. It will not work like that.
Peace be unto all

I've tried both and I think atheism wins. I don't hate Christians. I just hate that some Christians in the U.S. are trying to turn the U.S. into a theocracy, and have gained enough political power where it looks like they could succede., I don't mind open-minded Christians who are tolerant of people with other views, and support the separation of church and state. In fact, one of my best friends is one. He and I have had a lot of fun conversations about politics, religion, philosophy, and science. We disagree in some key areas, but we get along fine anyway.

I believe it is an internal conflict between their desire to believe in something greater than themselves and trying to justify their decision to deny the possability. No athiest ever really knew Christianinty. Look above at the answers to see the hatred in each response. Why do athiests look for questions in a Religious forum? They are subconciously seeking answers (even to justify their decision). Christianity is far far more than just being a good person. It's not about rules of a church or someone telling you how to think. It's the acknowledgment that we are far from perfect and strive to do better. We don't blame God for our problems, we give them to him to help us with them.

I believe there are no true athiests in the world, only people that continue to deny thiesm. They will come around. I know they will. Just like I know there will be several thumbs down from athiests who think I we are ignorant and blinded or caged by some form of controlling church. I've got news for them, I am not controlled in any way. I am not "brain washed". I have chosen my faith by free will and intellegence. Logic does NOT discredit Christianity, it enforces it. God bless...even "athiests"

Atheists don't hate Christians. They disagree with religion and can see how dangerous it can be. Many atheists are former Christians. If there is one religion that is the easiest to invalidate with reason, it is Christianity.

An atheist walks alone at night on a city street and sees a group of 10 young men approaching. Would the atheist rather these men:

a) just left a hip-hop club?
or
b) just left a bible study class?

Think about it.

I'm not atheists but have you tried the other 100s of religions too? Atheists don't believe in any divine force not just Jesus.

I like the clear mind that being an atheist allows me to have. I don't hate Christians or any other religious people. I just don't understand them.

Most atheists do not hate Christians, they hate stupidity and a lot of Christians are just plain stupid, you only have to read a few of their answers to see that.

They like to think of themselves as deep thinkers and of us as brainwashed and incapable of an original thought. I wonder about the zeal of some of the Atheist that I have encountered on this site. It is just as offensive to me as a Christian's zeal is for them.
