I cannot read the bible and not see parts of myself in all the men and women that I read about.

Abraham and Sarah, and their absolute belief, but yet thinking that they have to do something to help God out.

Isaac: clearly knowing Gods will for which of his sons was to receive the blessing, but stubbornly trying to bless the other one instead. Sometimes I know what God wants from me, and I seem to fight it anyway.

Esau: Thinking that he would have the birthright and the blessing simply because of when he was born. Not giving it the respect that he should have. I tend to take Gods love and forgivness for granted at times (lots of times)

I could go on and on, but it does seem that we can find a piece of ourselves in all men and women in the bible, with many lessons to take away with is, or at least remind us of what we are striving towards.

I dont neccisarily see myself in any of the historical figures of the BIble, or visa-versa, but if there ouwld be any apstle I would want ot be more like, it would be Paul. all thought this is true, my main objective is to become more like Jesus, the one who suffered and died ont he cross for my many sins.

God Bless
