Seek the peace within yourself.
The joy that nothing can take.
Hold this moment in silence forever.
Never this message forsake.
There is love in hatred.
Peace amid the strife.
Joy is a friend of sorrow.
Death a part of life.
The world can not destroy the you.
Hidden deep in your heart.
Withdraw at times and silence fear.
Then return and be a part.

i sought peace and found only turmoil
my joy cannot be stolen, it is non-existent
i scream at the tops of my lungs, but my words carry no sound
can you differentiate love and hate without knowing both
you must first experience strife before you define peace
sorrow is joy's next of kin
to live without truth is to die in vain
if the world knew what was hidden it would not stop until i was destroyed.
draw near in trying times, and shout with confidence.
the return of Jehovah shall part the chaff.

Only fools seek truth and happiness in things ephemeral, cling to things that do not last. Transcend, for a moment, the earthly pursuits of mortals and heed the voice of God within. God will grant you wisdom and show you the path to bliss and eternal joy. Astray, you suffer. On the right path, you are a happy man. May God bless you, my dear Debra.

It's very expressive. IMHO poems sound cooler when they rhyme, Billy Joel style. But it's still lovely. Did you ever think of submitting your work to poetry.com?

You seem to love poetry. Try and learn arabic and read the Qur'an. I think you would like it.

The poem above...after reading the Qur'an everything else seems poor, good effort for a human I guess.

Wow, that's beautiful. Many of my favorite poems are ones that rhyme, but every now and then, I read others. But the ones that don't rhyme that I read always have some sort of message inside them, like yours. Well, thanks for sharing your poem!
