My husband and I had travelled to China to pick up our 13 month old daughter from her foster parents. The most intense moment in my life was when her foster mom placed her in my arms after 28 thousand miles, and 23 months of waiting. That moment of total trust this lovely Chinese woman placed in me has changed me forever.

Thinking that the top wheel of a double ferris wheel my cousin and I were on at the fair was going to fall off the track and we were going to fall to our deaths. The wheel was half off it's track. Consequently, I have yet to get on another double ferris wheel and haven't ridden a ride at a fair since.
