I mean, physically and socially.

I just finished reading this article that said women in Jamaica were very aggressive and assertive. I'm not complaining, I love strong women. I have known some Jamaicans, but not many Trinis, so I am wondering. Gracias.

Trini Women are the direct opposite of Jamaican Women
To me the difference is Jamaican women in their culture are not as highly respected. They are seen as sex symbols or inferior to men. So in order for a Jamaican female to feel she has made her point, they tend to get loud or aggressive. They feel they need to be heard at all times- so they may come off as rough.

Personally I was raised that a lady should be seen not heard. My whole family is from Trinidad. Trini's are very passionate people. If you are around one -just look at the way they speak, walk, dance, even cook. Trini women are very honest, strong willed, very well grounded, and just have an aurora about them. They are sophisticated in their nature.

Yes , of course they are. Not sure how they differ physically but I would like to study the matter further if funding ever comes available. Maybe I could get a PHD. I'm sure there are HUGE differences.I just couldn't begin to even guess at the differences. Its fun to try though. I'm guessing that you find strong women wherever there isn't much opportunity, same for men.

My experience with Trini woman are that they think they are something special. A bit highty mighty. You definitely notice it when they're living abroad. Maybe because in their own country they think it's normal to look down on people who have less, they seem to think it's normal to do that everywhere else in the world too. They like to have it all easy. When their white husband earns a bit of money they would like a maid, children in private schools etc while they sit at home themselves watching tv all day..
They also seem to have strange relationships with their children. Like they lack motherly feelings. I'm not sucking this out of my thumb, I have met and know quite a few Trinidadian woman and in general they all have the above in common.

Women in the Caribbean are used to taking care of themselves and everything else. They are often the breadwinners, and also often take care of raising children without depending on men. Extended families are normal, so a few extra children don't seem to be a problem.
This applies all over the Caribbean. The accents will change, but people are basicly the same everywhere.

All women from the different islands are different. Jamaicans are the loudest of all and the one that is the most aggressive. Sometimes we other women on different islands have to put our foot down so some of them can just plain shut the hell up. Trinis have their moods.

Basically everyone wants to be treated different...remember we are from different islands so we have different cultures and way of life and thinking.

All in All.....Caribbean Women are sweet. Treat us right and we will show you respect. Step on our toes and we will fight back.
