Try to hang around a Municipal airport, those small ones where Private pilots keep their planes or look around for small planes. What you want to do is befriend someone with a plane. BE CAREFUL!!! You not want to get tied up with some pervert!!!!! There are many good people and if you hang around you will meet them. Tell about your interest to learn and ask what you need to do to get your license? You may be very surprised. First you have to take a test it like a Driving Test for a car before you actually drive to get your license! Once you pass this and you will need to study, then you can start flying with an instructor to get the number of hours in air to obtain your Solo License. The Solo you can fly alone, NO PEOPLE, unless they are licensed and from there you obtain the hours in air for the "Real McCoy". You keep a Flight Log to keep up with your time. OK, you find someone that fly regular and make friends and show a desire to learn and they may take you along just for someone to talk too. Then you on your way!!! Where I live many have done this and their only expense was fee for tests and stuff. The Plane, Fuel and good friend came FREE!!!!!!!!!!
I learned in a little Cessna 150 when I was 16.
OH!!! Dang, I almost forgot, when you do get a full blown license, you have to join the "Mile High Club" I not tell you what it is, but, give you a hint; take a girl!!! Ha!!!

I'm sure that there must be airports in southern Utah with flight schools. I would suggest that you see if you can barter your labor, cleaning and washing airplanes in exchange for flight lessons. You may have to work a week or longer in exchange for one hour of flight time.
