I attend a United Church. It's funny because I wanted to go to church for a few years and never went in fear that I might give God mixed signals if I didn't agree with what they were preaching. So I held off.
Then my hubby and I were on vacation 1 hr north of home and met a couple. They were nice, Christian and lived 20 min apart in our home town. We thought it was interesting we met them and decided to go to their church. It was nice, but not for me. Didn't feel right - something didn't click.
I started watching Hour of Power and Church on the Rock on Sunday's; good shows but not quite the same as being there. I started to feel bad and it began to weigh on me.
Then my niece and nephew got Baptized and my husband and I were asked to be the God Parents. Funny how God leads the way when you let him. We went to their church for the baptism and have attended almost every Sunday since. It's 45 min from home but love it. The sermons are great, people are good, a lot of community action and the best part - we get to spend the remainder of the day with the God Kids; we don't have any of our own - yet.
Take your time, pray to God, most important.. don't rush and have an open mind.
Good Luck & God Bless!

Covanant. Its is a small denomination much like the Free denominations. I go because it is the church I grew up in, and because I agree with the main idea of the denomination.

I am a Baptist and the reason Is the balance and the word of God.
I used to be In a hyper faith type church but after years I found that they and I was not ballanced and not fruit bearing as the Bible says we should be.

Presbyterian (PCA). For me it had the most intellectually satisfying and coherent theology (and philosophy). I also like the structure of church authority and approach to culture.
One thing I don't like about it, which is true of all Protestant denominations, is that it is weak in the visual arts. I am an artist and there are few mentors for me in this tradition.
I was raised Baptist.

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I believe its teachings to be true, and I have looked at other religions.

Episcopalian. I grew up Southern Baptist, and it just wasn't where I was comfortable. My personality fits Episcopalian much better. I like the formal services, and the communion. I also enjoy the fact that the Episcopal church likes to educate it's members about church history.

mennonite, I went to this church cause a friend invited me and I like how caring the family is and the beliefs. But I would be open to going to any church on any given Sunday that is bible and Christ centred.
