Simply try start hanging out with the girl you like. I know it might be kind of hard for guys your age to come up with the courage to approach girls, but most of the time it's worth the bravery; girls at any time, any age feel flattered when approached by a guy. Try talking to her and getting to know her, and I'm sure that in no time you two will become friends.....and then things could turn into more than friends, if ya know what I mean. Once people see how well you and the girl you like get along, it should feel more natural to them if they find out that you're going out. Good luck!

sweetie, that isn't to old..that is only a year different..it is ok..so what if your friend tells others, that is what others do sometimes.and if you and this girl gets together everyone will know anyways...it's no big deal. go ahead and tell this girl in the 6th grade that you like her..do you know whether she is interested in you too? if you don't know be prepared she may tell you that she doesn't like you, or she may tell you that she does like you..either way, you won't know unless you ask..right? right!!
