Same basic problem throughout the world. Fear, and ignorance. No biggie. My friend is bigger than my enemy.

Pagan here and NOT because of a past hurt. I will not give you the reason for my choice because it is none of your business. Why do you need to know? It will not change things in the least, I am happy with who and what I am.
It is not that christians or their god are hated, but it's the hated response by christians who will not respect anothers right to choose a different faith. Instead of trying to convert others into your faith, learn about theirs as you are doing and expand your knowledge and acceptance. If you feel hated because you are christian perhaps the message is misread. You are not hated because of your faith but rather because of the refusal to accept and respect others. You must understand and accept that christianity is not the only, main or even the first religion. It is part of many various spiritual choices.
FREEDOM OF RELIGION MEANS ANY RELIGION !!!

Well, I don't and I do hate god. Let me explain... I genuinely don't believe a god is possible, so I can't hate something that doesn't exist. However, the god described by the bible to me seems to be a repulsive evil creature that punishes people for the most silly things. I mean, how can anyone be cool with a god that sends his son to be tortured to death? That makes suffering to ALL humanity because 2 innocent people were decieved? It just borderlines diabolic intentions.
I don't hate Christians. In fact, I think many of them are genuinely good and nice people. I wish many of them just gave up their religion and turn to reason.

I know you said no Christians but I think I have heard from enough nonchristians to guess at this. I believe at some point in their lives, they were accosted by a group of Christians who did not take the first polite hint that religion was not a subject that was open for discussion. And probably by the third or fourth polite deflection they were made to become rude in order to stop the flow of religious information they were trying to shove down the non christians throat. After that fiasco, the non believer decided that to give any of us a chance to speak would reopen the door to force feeding again.

the bible paints a pretty clear picture of god and he is not loving or caring. He is facetious an manipulative, and he has no regard for what humans want and need. If he hasn't figured out that the seven deadly sins are human nature and unavoidable, and that the ten commandments will leave us socially stunted if we do manage to follow them, then why should we believe that his idea of paradise (heaven) is anything less miserable than living on earth by his rules? My personal reason for hating him is that he burns babies--the doctrine of original sin, and sins of the father mean that all babies who die unbaptised or are born out of wedlock go directly to hell. He curses certain people from the day they are born, and others he heaps with blessings, and the blessed turn out to be horrible people--that is why I can't stand most christians. They do nothing to help anybody but themselves and think that if they can nag a non-christian into submission then they have earned their place in heaven. They have obviously had too blessed of an existence and take it all for granted, rather than developing anything close to compassion.

Christianity is false. Christians are very annoying when they try to gain converts or change laws to suit there views/beliefs. They tend to think only their view matters since everyone else is going to hell anyway... that line of reasoning is truly irritating.
An atheist does not believe in God, so they aren't angry at something they don't believe in.

I dont hate Christians. I just hate the ideology that you have the market cornered on God, and I hate the fact that you attempt to have everyone in the world follow your God's laws (no gay marriage, no abortion, etc.)

I don't know about hating god, (because to hate something that doesn't exist seems trully ridiculous), but I can understand why someone would hate christians.
They are arrogant, pushy, self-righteous, intollerant, and hypocrities.
We all suffer from these negative traits at some time or another, but christians PRETEND to be above them.

i don't think anyone hates God
those who believe in God don't
and those who don't believe in God cant hate something they don't believe exists
i feel what many people do hate ( and that is a strong word ) is people telling them that if they don't believe in God a certain way then there will be penalties for such
i can understand where they are coming from in that respect although i don't think anyone should hate at all
