If the tiler was any good then no chance at all. If you must remove them then do it slowly to minimise damage. You can get virtually paint on plaster/filer at any DIY to make good before you recover the walls, as long as you don't take chunks out of the plaster board

Removing Tiles From Plasterboard

Why bother? Plasterboard is really cheap. Just take the plasterboard off as well and you will save much time. If the tiles were put on properly you have no chance of getting them off without damaging the plasterboard.

my BF is a tiler & he uses a small spade to remove tiles! Sometimes it wont work if the tiles have been fitted properly tho ( not very often!) another thing you can do is tile over the old tiles - some smart asses will tell you this shouldnt be done but thats crap! The tile council says this is perfectly acceptable in some circumstances!

Just throw out the plasterboard with the tiles on it and get new plasterboard, its pretty cheap stuff, and easy to cut and replace, hardly worth the effort of carefully removing the tiles.

No doubt. No way. You will end up with a horrible mess.

If you want to re-tile there would be no problem, just put grout on to bring up the thickness to the level you require.

If you want a painted surface instead, you have no chance of a decent surface. That will involve a proper plaster scim or a DIY scim and some very thick lining paper. .

Almost impossible. Why do you want to save the plaster board though? It is more simple to replace plasterboard then you would think. Do some research at diy.com, thsioldhouse.com and yournewhouse.com before you start.

Impossible.
If the tiles were put on correctly, you have backerboard, then thinset and then tiles and grout.
The thinset is essentially striped concrete that bonds to the plasterboard.
Removing it is impossible without damaging any surface.
If the tile is in bad condition, paint it.
If its really bad consider the "bathfitter" service.
Or just knock the wall off the studs and rebuild it.

tough one..it depends on how much tile adhesive they are stuck on with..it might be possible if the job wasnt done properly.. but i doubt you will have a perfect plasterboard wall after you remove them

Do you mean drywall? If so, probably will have some damage, depending on the adhesive & whether a "mud" layer was used. Drywall is repairable though...
