Im not talking about the everyday people who are kinda whacky but the insane/crazy people that are locked up behind bars, do you ever wonder if they are really telling the truth about ghosts and stuff and we just cant handle to hear about it, so society locks them up...I wonder about that somtimes, I mean I realize that the brain plays tricks sometimes, but maybe some people are actually really seeing stuff and nobody belives them, does anyone else agree with me?

I heard a saying once that the difference between a mystic and a madman is the mystic knows when to keep his mouth shut.

No not really. I think its just their mind playing tricks on them... seriously its their mind... Ive workd in MMRD places before... the people that think they see "things" are the ones that think a tile bathroom floor is a swimming pool and they try to jump in the "pool" many stitches and CAT scans later... the ones that see "things" are the ones that want to take a lawn chair out into the middle of a pond to sit and watch the ducks... the ones that see "things" are the ones that have a very distored reality... could they really see something?? Possibly but honestly if they did I dont know if they would be able to clearly label what it was they were seeing. I hope im making sence to you... To THEM they are seeing things totally normal it is very sad they really do think they see and know this stuff... but its just a mirage to them... or its their brain not connecting correctly to other parts of the brain. Its very sad and also very frustrating when your tring to calm them down or make them understand. To them we are the "crazy" ones they dont understand why we dont want to go take that lawn chair to the middle of the pond to sit and watch the ducks. I understand your point. Im just saying for the general MMRD or psychotic people out there... it really is there mind playing tricks.. they just see their own version of a twisted reality. Go spend time with them, you'll see what i mean :) But i can understand where your coming from though :) I wondered the same thing for a while till i worked with them!

Yes i do believe people can have strong inner spiritual touches.
I also believe people cant handle that others see things and they cant as they cant prove it.The mind is a very strong and intelligent organ.
There is more that meets the eye with our brains,as I can think of things way out of my thoughts about the whole world, then in time it happenes, and someone else takes my inventions or thoughts.
But also you have to concider people put behind bars for this can be blames for insanity,as some have lost it also,so dont blame it on everyone

Oh yes sometimes they do tell the truth but in the shadows of illusions and panicky they do not want you or anyone else to argue with them else here comes out the demons which have been hiding in their bodies. I know you feel for ppl like this but unless you are a counselor; doctor; conservator to this person you don`t have much of a chance. Maybe you do if you go in play it cool and maybe you could help several of these victimized persons; I feel alot more could be done but that takes courts; Ligations; and a whole bunch of money,,,,Good Luck and
I hope you can do it!

First, if someone is locked up it is going to be because a trained psychiatrist believes the person is a danger to themselves or others not just because they're crazy. Most mental illnesses are treated through out-patient programs.
As for weather or not what they say is the truth. To them it is the truth as they believe it to be true. Whether you believe them or not is based on individual judgement.

Aside- I think the proper term is Mental Hospital or Long term mental health facility rather than insane asylum. :)

confident you're...yet so is my daughter. She's a twilight freak. i'm no longer announcing i did no longer savour the Twilight thoughts because of the fact I did,do,and continuously will and Edward is warm. besides the undeniable fact that the different day she asked me if she became a vampire would i want her to coach me into one too. So i theory approximately it and because you lose your soul any procedures if vampire thoughts have been genuine Why no longer? So I suggested confident. Then she had to push the project farther and asked if i'd be a vegetarian vampire or the different sort. i theory approximately that too and desperate on the veggie sort yet i could no longer get this photograph out of my head of me ripping aside my ex-husband. I nonetheless smile thinking approximately it. He grew to become extra evil than any vampire ever would desire to. So i assume that makes me loopy too.

Most people who claim to see ghosts who AREN'T crazy usually keep their mouths shut about it in mixed company. It isn't that they're claiming to see things other people can't, it's the other types of behavior that accompany it that get them locked away.

YES! I have said this for years! Hello kindred spirit! :)

Maybe they just see stuff that nobody else sees and it disturbs them. They have special perception - or are just more realistic than others. I think we could learn from them. We don't understand, so we say they're "sick."
