Dementia is most commonly seen in senior citizens, it has symptoms similar to senility.

The newest drug on the market for depression (it may treat anxiety, I don't know) is called Cymbalta.

Check these websites for anxiety info:

Xanax caused me and some people I know to be more anxious. Also, there are other meds for bipolar mood disorder than lithium, as lithium is very hard on one's kidneys. If your doctor listens to you, and works with you that's great. If not, get another doctor. I have a woman doctor and she is wonderful!

Take a walk, some deep breaths, and try to relax. Do see your doctor ASAP! Best wishes.

Dementia, a progressive brain dysfunction, leads to a gradually increasing restriction of daily activities. The most well-known type of dementia is Alzheimer's disease. Dementia not only affects patients, but also those surrounding them, as most patients require care in the long-term.

Dementia is like Alztheimer's. Forgetting where you are, having strange or erratic behavior and thoughts. It does not sound to me like you are going though dementia (plus, dementia generally occurs in elderly people.)

Did you mean Bipolar instead of Dementia? Because when I hear manic mentioned that's what I think of.
