Being an epileptic and knowing what seizures feel like, I knew this guy was having a seizure. Knowing that he would have a hell of a headache when he came out, I went and gave the guy some asprin. I watched him have a seizure, and knew thats what I looked like during my seizures. Would you of helped him? I offered to call for help, but they didnt want that. So I left that up to them.

I just wanted to know if anyone would help! I would help anyone whether their race or being homeless too. So dont get me wrong. I didnt put anything in the guys mouth, I waited until he came out of the seizure. *AND FOR THE RECORD....YOU CAN NOT SWALLOW YOUR TONGUE!* you can bite the heck out of it though!

Yes, may sound silly but my dog now 11 years has daily seizures without medication since 1 and half when I 1st noticed. It is a aweful sight. I have never heard of asprin, but he takes Phenobarbital twice day, and has had shots of Volume when in massive seizure. I would do my best to get them to hospital , or call 911.

I'm a CNA and I was also homeless before, so sure I would help them. About all you can do is make sure they're not going to bang their head, and maybe turn their head to the side in case they throw up. I knew someone who had gran mals about once a month and she never went to the hospital. But you were right, treat them like the human beings they are.

As a firefighter/emt, I'm wondering what would you do for the guy? Probably not a whole hell of alot. Call EMS and then make sure they don't have anything near them that they might get hurt on. What beyond that? You did more than all you could.

yes!!! I would not call for help if they didnt want it though because thats just invasion. you did the right thing. I dont think it matters if they are homeless or not, they are still human and I am sure they have their reasons for being homeless. (some want to be)

good for you. But, I don't think that you should put anything in someone's mouth. I think that you should just ensure that they're ok. Maybe encourage them to rest in the recovery position after they've come out of it. Far more likely that they'll choke on a foreign substance than their own tongue.

Sure..and for the record...your tongue falls back and closes your airway. And most folks that have seizures..know it....know they'll be ok..do not want you to call help...

I would help. Having a first aid certificate I have a duty of care to help anyone who needs help. Even if I didn't have a certificate I would help anyway - it's just the kind of person I am.

Yes without a doubt. Just because he is homeless doesn't mean he doesn't deserve any help.
