Jules Verne

He wrote "From the Earth to the Moon", "Off on a Comet" "Around the World in 80 Days" "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and several other famous books. Although he wrote all these adventure books, he actually rarely left home. He got all the realistic details for his books by reading travel books at the library.

In the movie "Back to the Future" they mention him several times!
