Alright, I have a Nissan Sentra (2002) 1.8 Ltr 1 owner, bad maintenance record, I changed the oil today, and the car is stalling out. It will start after a bit of trying, but will die after one or two minutes. I am thinking its 1. the fuel filter, 2. the fuel pump (not likely), 3. the Fuel injectors (clogged) but thats where it is yet. It gets picked up tomorrow and put in the shop to see if anyone is correct. Timing seems to still work as the engine runs normally for its brief minute before stalling out.

Note the really bad maintenance record- as in I have changed the oil today - cause i was having this problem. I know excally how many times I never have replaced the filter.
So I'm also ordering online now from one of the big three parts stores some new stuff for the car, plugs .... I might even get the brakes done again...I was so mean to my daily beater.

Oh yea the fuel fileter is located in the fuel pump assy, above the gas tank yadda, as in a pain to get to.

Fuel filter is likly.Check the fuel pump pressure befor the filter and after the filter. If it is low replace the filter.
Hell replace the filter anyway, aas most of the time if you cant remember when you replaces it last, it is time.

But what you are saying is likly.

As long as your car isn't overheating you can try putting a piece of cardboard in front of your radiator. Sometimes during the winter, cars just won't heat up at freeway speeds due to the airflow over the radiator. Blocking the radiator airflow should help you to run a little warmer. Just keep an eye on your temperature gage until you feel comfortable with the cardboard in front of your radiator. If the cardboard doesn't work, you may need to check to see if your heater core has become clogged or your heater control valve could have gone bad.

check fuel pressure should be at 36 psi when engine is running.the fuel filter for that vehicle is
on the firewall not inside the tank that is a fuel strainer .check after it dies to see if it still has spark at the plugs .only use factory parts such as NGK SPARK PLUGS most aftermarket parts are not the same quality.

Chances are this is an injector problem, or filter problem. The car will start again, so it's not the pump, maybe a fuel pressure regulator.

unless you've been running really cheap cheap gas or it has high miles on it, I don't think it's a filter issue.
