what high school courses are recommended for becoming a surgeon?! also what are the benefits (other than finacial) that can be achieved?

I know from my experience that alot of schools look for, Advanced math, Chemistry, and Biology. Now I imagine the surgeon training will come later but these are needed for Pre Med courses.

I would suggest as many science and math courses that you can handle. As far as the benefits of becoming a surgeon, financial of course but to find the other resons you need to look inside yourself to find if if that it what you desire .... don't do it just for the money because you could hurt the patients that you see because you won't be caring enough. It takes a caring compassionate person to be in the medical field.

High schools don't offer classes to help you become a surgeon. You have to finish your BS in college, then you can go on to med school, residency, etc
