Technically more than an adult because some bones are separate and become fused later in life. The sacrum in a child is made of 5 segments and one segment in an adult. Also the number of 206 is the usual answer, but in reality the number can be more in an adult. This is because we have different numbers of sesmoid bones, and Wormian bones. A wormian bone is a small bone that is in the sutures of the skull.

The same amount you have as an adult 206. Unless you were born with some defect and are missing limbs, etc or born with extra body parts like toes or fingers, etc. The normal person has 206 bones in their body.

Hmm...never learned about this in gross anatomy...but I would assume it'd be the same number as an adult, 206. As a human grows, they don't develop any particular new bones, you simply grow and lengthen the ones you have.

we have 208 when we are grown...the skull, however, is split into several pieces when we are born, and grows together as we get older...
