Coffee is not all it chalked up to be. Wait, better yet, never try it, no sense getting addicted to it.

I am sure you can go into a Starbuck's and get a "sample" of the different coffee's they are featuring for the day. They always have decafinated coffee and of course, regular.

My parents used to tell me coffee was bad for me and also said it would stunt my growth probably due to the fact coffee has so much cafine in it and they didn't want me to stay up all night! At that time there wasn't any such thing as decafinated coffee, so I would try that first, and no, I don't think you are too young to give it a try. Starbucks is the best around as far as I am concerned, good quality, and are extremely friendly and would love to help you with your first "coffee" experience.

Don't be shy; go for it! Starbucks is an excellent place to go for a casual drink with friends. Their drinks, although a little expensive, attract my taste buds like bees on flowers.

I'm 14 also(well, I'm going to be in a couple weeks) and everyone says that coffee is bad for me too. Even so, I love Starbucks. And they don't just serve coffee. There is a wide variety of drinks to choose from, like Frappucinos and Tazo Tea. I know people say that coffee is bad for teens, but that's why God invented decaf!

I don't think you should hold back. Step up to the plate; you will find that the drinks are phenomenal. (Hint:Try the Pumpkin Spice Latte!)

If you are afraid of ordering something that you think you will hate, then I would order the smallest size served. That way, you're not paying loads for an experimental drink.

Well, although Starbucks is the leader in the Coffee Industry, its like MC.Donald's or Burger King, in the sense that its just all based on pushing out however much they can. Sadly, your friends don't really know what they are drinking and they should look at the consequences. Caffeine is a powerful substance, as well as a drug. Its addictive and can in fact shun your growth. If you do however want to try something like a Frappe chino, try something caffeine free, like Vanilla Bean. If you have a local coffee shop, I highly recommend going their to try your first Frappe or Latte, rather then getting something that just a few pumps of sugar.

Ok I am not sure about he growth thing but you will nt get addicted. For you have a frapp. or a mocha you might get a suge hype but not addicted. I had my first REAL coffe from starbucks at age 13 (Carmel:)) i am not addicted. But I was very jumpy for the rest of the night (much to my parents dislikeing!) But, you won't get addicted - you might not even LIKE it - if you only have like or two a week. or even 1 or 2 every two days. But if I was you I wouldn't have one everyday. It's really expencive (But since you said everybody in your school has one I don't think that is a problem) So go ahead TRY IT!!!! Ask your friends which ones best! :)

I am a coffee drinker - and Starbucks coffee is very very strong. If you want to start with a latte or a mocha, something that has alot of milk in it, that maybe better than just straight coffee. It is addictive because of the caffeine. And too much caffeine is not good for you. Coffee houses are just a fad.

No coffee won't stunt your growth. that's a myth, start with the small size, that way your not paying for something you won't drink if you don't like it. are you a coffee drinker normally? that would help. also just ask the staff they can give you ideas or let you know what there fave are and why.
I personally am not a coffee drinker, So i get Chai which is spiced tea with milk or hot coco. :D

Go ahead an try one. Believe me, at your age I really doubt you will like it. Most people have to acquire a taste for coffee. I personally love coffee, but don't really like Starbucks. It is strong and over priced.

try a green tea frappucino damn good, and wont stunt your growth. if you decide on a coffee, ask for a vanilla cafe latte. taste good and not too strong, and no coffee doesnt stunt your growth, parents just made that up so kids wont drink coffee.

Yes, it will. It's the caffeine. But maybe you've grown enough, already. Here's my suggestion- you want to try it, even once? But believe me, you don't want to try, just plain coffee. So order a Pumpkin Latte and a Pumpkin Scone. Yummy! This time of the year, they also have a non caffeine beverage, called Pumpkin Steamer. But you have to ask for it, specifically. Go for it, one time isn't enough coffee to do any harm.
