My good friend is getting married and its one month till her wedding. I wasnt planning on it and now she has told me she's pregnant. Any good ideas other then dinner or clubs that wouldnt just seem like a plain ol bridal shower?

For some good non-alcholic fun :-) head to her favorite restaurant and get some great virgin drinks - ex. comos with a mix of cran jc and lemonade with a twist of lime in a martini glass - things like that. And have her a twist on the traditional bride scavenger hunt. You know usually you go to bars and clubs and do strange things to/with strangers you meet on the street - instead look for places downtown where she can hunt for things she enjoys or that remind her of he soon to be hubby! and end it with a sleepover with the girls at a nice hotel or just desert at a great restaurant like the melting pot! Chances are good she'll just enjoy spending time with the girls even if you just do a sleepover where she's queen for the night and you all pamper her - do her hair give her a mani-pedi and hire someone to give her a massage - you might want to find someone who specializes in foot reflexology since regular massages aren't usually recomended depending on how far along she is at the time. A couple of years ago I was in a bridal party for a bride that was not pregnant, yet didn't want to do a typical dinner/club thing. So, we all went to a paint-your-own-pottery place. We all did a piece for ourselves and then all helped to create a big platter for her (that she wasn't allowed to see while we painted). I was in charge of going back to the place the next week to get the final products. Then, the night before the wedding we all opened up our individual pieces and gave the platter to the bride. She LOVED it and every time I look at my candy dish, I immediately think back to that special day.

Try something fun and different, and non-traditional. Have a weekend away at a out of the way place, just the girls where you can talk and laugh and enjoy yourselves together.
Alternatively, have a themed dinner party with music, food and friends. Do something wacky along the lines of the bride to be's interests and hobbies.
Whatever you plan, have fun!

I love Livergirls idea. Going away is so cool. I would prefer that any day. Just think of all the girly fun you guys could have. And one last weekend away with the girls before she is a mummy is such a good idea. It will be a bit hard to do that for a few years yet.

She's not THAT pregnant, so I say, hit the strip club and the disco anyway - just out of courtesy to the bride, everybody orders virgins (kind of ironic ain't it - you could work it in as a silly theme, "Like a Virgin" lol). Besides ladies don't need alcohol to let loose.
