my 94 Pick up still has the solenoid on the fender right by the battery. You can jump across from the hot cable on it to the little wire that's plugged in on it . Use a screwdriver with a plastic handle or you might get a real shock.

solanoid*? nope, its your altinator or battery, if not them both, check out the connections on the battery cable, etc. if you find its not mechanical and its electrical, its ignition of some sort?
i had a 92 maxima, and if it wasnt in either neutral or park then it woudnt start, also the security, some one bumps in to the shifter ever so slightly it pops an emergany button, where you cant see it, in the front where the radio is, so it may be a prob like it if its not mechanical.
check the altinator, batt connections, spark plug wires, fuel pump, and spark plugs

verify the alternator for continuity with a multi-meter it may be 14V or in case you uninstall it (loosen belt, do away with warm cord floor cord and a few 3/8" or a million/2" bolts) then Autozone or NAPA could desire to be waiting to attempt it for you in the experience that your alternator is undesirable then the battery would be attempting to run the automobile on its reserve capacity and can't recharge itself, so do not bypass purchase a clean $80 battery without finding into it added may be a bad battery, alternator, or the two, i've got had previous beaters the place they have long gone out on the comparable time There are 2 posts on a starter that take cutting-edge, you are able to verify those too they could desire to be 12V yet a bad solenoid in simple terms approximately consistently has a click to it

Probably your starter is bad. Could also be that your battery cables are bad and need to be replaced, but my money is on new starter.

I agree with Josh, try turning the engine by hand first. If it turns freely, replace the starter, which comes with the solenoid.

Could be the starter solonoid and or the starter. I would try to turn the motor by hand and be sure the motor isn't locked up

Likely to be solenoid or starter. If you have an Auto Zone store in town, they will test both items free. Many other stores wlll also test your parts free.

It could be a number of things, the starter stands out in my mind though.
