I'm going on a one day trip to DisneyLand with my boyfriend and my family . My kitten and my boyfriend kitten are brothers , they get along great . The only problem is that we dont trust our family , vet , or any kennle place. We desided to leave them home . In my room or in the bathroom . Which one will be safer ? And what are danger proff things we can do ? They are potty trianed and how much food and water we should leave them ? They eat alot and what are safe toys we can leave them . So they wont choke or anything. And how can we do to make them feel safe . We care for our kitten like they were our own. We cant let them run out in the house . Cause my mom has a little dog that really hates cat , and late time we did that , we came home and vacses were brokes , water everywhere and the place was a mess. I only have this month to plain this out. They love to chew on things and break . How can I make sure they wont chew on any wire or break something . Thank you so much.

Your bathroom is safer. Although I would have someone check on them if you are going to stay overnight. You can leave some toys made for kittens that you can get at pet smart. As for food and water, I would leave a small bowl for each cat. If you are planing to stay overnight, leave 2 small bowls per cat. You want to leave small bowls so that they will not drown in the water and so they can reach the water. Also a small cardboard box would be a good safe and cheep toy to entertain your babies. Here is a site that may be useful to you.

I'd say bathroom, done it before with little kittens. Make sure you have removed all electrical devices and things with wires on them and then plug up the the sockets with baby stuff. Tape the toilet closed and clear off the sink. All items remaining on the sink should be against the back wall. For water I leave the sink free of items and leave it running on just slightly above a drip. They love it and it never runs out. For one day only I wouldn't leave food at all (choking hazard and wet food isn't good that long). For food feed them well right before you leave. Try and get someone to put in food for 30 min at mid day, if not missing one meal is better then choking. Feed then well when you get home. If your kittens are older (12 wks>)then leave two cups of dried food in a bowl, no wet food, and disregard all previous statements. Those comments referred to kittens under 12 weeks.

Make sure litter is fresh and they have 3 or 4 toys to play with. Their favorite toys should be safe and it will make them feel more at home. Cat beds are OK, but a towel laid flat does well too, especially if you are expecting a mess. Use the bathroom that you use and if you have other people in the house tape the door so no one forgets to leave it closed. I have never had a problem doing it this way. I do however have to clean it up afterwards. If you're kittens are anything like mine expect litter everywhere. Enjoy Disneyland and don't worry, they will be fine.

I would probably leave them in your room. I had a pet rat get lose once and found it drown in the toilet. Not saying that would happen to your kitten, but it could. If they are major chewers try to uplug everything, including a phone if you have one in your room. I wouldn't leave any toys that have ropes or bells on them or any toys that has parts that can fall off or be chewed off. You could leave one of your favorite blankets or a article of clothing you've worn for them to lay on so they will have your scent, of course your room probably has your scent all over it though. Just for one day I would think a large bowl or 2 of food and water would be fine, it couldn't hurt if you had extra. Make sure the bowl is spill proof so they don't knock it over. Also if you have what nots or things on shelf that can be knock off and broken take them down so the kitties don't knock them down while they are in your room. Have a fun trip. When I left my 3 dogs over night I gave them 2 large bowls of food and they still had plenty left when I got home and one dog is 115 pounds. So I doubt a kitten will eat more than a large bowl of food.

Why exactly don't you trust your veterinarian? Do you think they are going to neglect them or let them out? Veterinarians are here to help animals not hurt them. If you are worried about your kitties drowning, choking, or getting into anything dangerous, leave them at your vet's office. They will atleast be supervised there unlike at your house.

Anyways, to answer your question about which room to leave your kitties in, I would say the bathroom. Just give them some food, water, a litter box, & some of their fave toys. I have had to keep my cats in my bathroom plenty of times while I have been away and they have always done just fine.

i'm only 12 but I LOVE animals, I'll try to help you out!

Well I think the bedroom. The bathroom they could possibly some how drowned in water.
Safty issues would DEFINITLY be NO WIRES or ELECTRIC ITEMS! Things like blowdryer, lamps, ectenstion cords, etc.
I'd give them about as much water as you can, and depending on how long you are gone you should calculate how much food. If you get stumpped then asked a vet.
Toys would be like, I don't know! (SORRY) but maybe ask a vet about that to!
Like I said I'm only 12! Hope I helped!

I would leave them in your bedroom, softer places to sleep and such, as for everything else, fill up a bowl with water and one with food, if its only a one day trip they will be fine. No need to worry, leave them some things to chase around. Don;t worry, we have 4 cats 1 kitten, and they are fine whenever we have to leave, even if its for 3 days. If you have tv or anything with cords in your room just take all of that out and place it in the basement or garage or something, that will take care of them chewing on cords.

I would get a trustworthy friend to take care of them, or if you have to cover up anything dangerous with a blanket or something, make sure they have a lot of water and food, or buy a self-feeding thingy (thats what I have), also make sure they do feel safe buy adding a heat pad so they are comforted, lastly, make sure they have some room to run around, not too much room, but just enough.

I had to do that to dont worry, leave them plenty food and water and even more then needed just in case, you should leave them in your room with the room door closed and the bathroom door closed, all the wires and stuff I put them in my closet and shut the door just do that put all the things that the kittens will chew on or break in your closet and close the door! leave them medium sized toys so they wont choke on them because if you leave them little ones they'll swallow some pieces. good luck:)

They will be fine in a room for a day. Just leave them a good deal of food, a water bowl they can't knock over and their litter. Leave them some balls to play with and they will be fine.

We have three kittens and they are home alone with their mum all day when we are at work and they are fine.

i would say the bathroom but make sure to close the toilet lid. if its just a one day thing just a bowl of water and a bowl of food should be good. if you have a cat bed put that in there too. as for toys just a couple of those kitty balls should be good.
