I am a former church of Christ lay minister. I am no longer Christian even, but am probably the only person on this forum that can answer your question if you have one.

The church of Christ and the Christian churches used to be one fellowship and they split in 1906 over things like the use of instrumental music in worship. and whether or not to call preachers Reverend. The church of Christ do not use instruments of music due to it not being commanded in the bible and in church history the use of instruments in Christian worship did not evolve until 600 AD.

I have studied the Bible extensively and I remember back when any member of the church was considered a bible toting and quoting person and we were known as those people who take the Bible literally and do not add to or take away from.

I can still answer any questions you may have, but I feel the need to warn you that I left the church and am no longer a Christian and I am now Wicca.

Along with the bible I studied the restoration movement history. That is what the church is known as the restoration movement. It is called that because it is trying to restore new Testament Christianity to the 19,20 and 21st century. Men like Barton W Stone and Alexander Campbell blazed the trail of restoration history at the end of the 1700's and early 1800's and survived through the bloody civil war.

I am not employed as a "preacher", but I am a member of the church of Christ and I have been asked to preach on many occations to fill in when the regular preacher was out of town.

If you have a Bible question, I would be happy to try to give you a Bible answer. If you have a question about the church, I would be happy to answer that also.

I have spoke from the pulpit does that make me a preacher?

I am a prophet, a radical disciple, an evanglist and in the employ of God alone.

I have ben called annointed and recieve regular invitations to speak and teach. I have been ordained by God and Christ to perform specific earthly acts and rights like Communion and Baptism, Hearing confessions and offering intersessory prayer.

But alas I am not a degreed theologian. No MDiv or PHD.

Am I a minister? yes Do I speak and teach things of God through Christ to groups of people? yes

But my only title is humble servant.

Is there a question you have of God that you would like affirmation to the answer you believe God gave you? I am your man.
