I am Wiccan. I don't have a problem with other religions, to each there own!
Why do so many people feel they need to tell me I worship the devil, I don't even believe in the devil so how can I whorship it?
I don't tell people about my religion unless they ask, I don't have nothing to hide. But I don't offer ANY info on myself unless someone ask!
just to let you know I am 26, married with an 8 month old son. My home is shabby chic, no skulls, no black. i wear mostly pink. OK.
I just don't understand why so many people are hateful towards another because of there religion, pagan, catholic, christain. (ok I'll be honest some mormans get to me. but not all of them) I give everyone a chance. reliagion is part of who we are NOT who we are!

ok just to let some of you know. Halloween IS a pagan holiday!
Witches have nothing to do with the devil. If you beleive that, you are mislead. Sorry but true.

know you don't worship the evil one and really don't care what your religion is as long as you respect my belief system and I will respect yous in return as we both have the right to this as we have free will. as far as your lifestyle is concerned again if you and your family are happy why should I care. if we were to meet under certain circumstances we might become acquainted. but I refuse to push my ways on others and refuse to allow others to push their ways on me.

Don't ask me; I think Halloween rocks! For most people in my neck of the woods (California), Halloween is as much a Hallmark holiday as St. Patrick's Day has become - all origins and original meanings are long gone. And since letting my kids dress up as someone else and go begging for candy isn't against anything Jesus taught, I have no problem celebrating it.
Now for some, I take it that it has greater significance. I respect that. Of course, I also know that Wicca has nothing to do with the devil, so maybe I'm just in the intelligent/informed minority.

you comprehend its a *to each their very own* sort of element. for my area i admire Halloween for the *exciting* element and that i've got considered many many a Halloween being in this earth for over 50 years. I nonetheless get the youngsters coming to my door and that i've got exciting with them too yet I even have them do somewhat *extra* for their treats :-) The infants - they have a exciting time and you will see it. At paintings - we are a extensive commercial homestead progression shop that's even entering into it right this moment and dressing up with over a hundred and fifty team (people who prefer to dress up). If the decorations at your place scent - properly heck propose some new ones and doubtless ones that are much less offensive - you're able to do Halloween and have exciting too. yet in basic terms like the Scrooges of Christmas - we've them at Halloween too - to each their very own.

I believe many are well-meaning, the rest are just thoughtless.
Some may like you as a person but can't reconcile that with their exclusionary belief system that sees everything in black and white, saved or lost. It's a closed system for them with no alternatives. If you don't believe as they do, you'll be going to hell. So they try to "save" you. Your beliefs are, unfortunately, a threat to their simplistic world view. And their "Christian" duty is to act, either by warning you or condemning you.
I don't have a solution. Maybe if you concertedly acted "Christian" (you know, doing only what you would want to have done to you), perhaps some would wake up and see the irony. But don't count on it.

As a rule if someone asks about my religion, I change the subject because everyone has a different view of it, and if they're really true to their Religion, the word "Hate" should'nt be in their vocabulary.

It's because they're afraid Halloween will displace Christmas as the favorite holiday, and that'll make Santa mad.

Many people believe that it's God or the devil. One or the other. If you don't worship God, THEIR God, than you worship the devil.
Just tryin' to explain where people are comin' from.
Congratulations on your baby.
