Starting to read book on WW1 So far every religious grup is mentioned but Jewish. So did they go by different religious name in Europe in Early 19 century?

They didn't have a country at their disposal. It's just that simple. It was almost all christian factions in europe, however the Ottoman empire was an exception.

World war one ended in 1918, 30 years before the foudning of the state of Israel... Since then, there has been a Jewish nation to participate in the conflicts of the world. (Not that I am saying anything against Jews, just against conflicts).

It was a time of anti-semitism. Jews were only 11% of the population in Europe and they lived in ghettoes.

german jews actually fought in the 1st w/w as they were considered german, and recieved great honours ie iron cross etc,and it was in the 20th century,
