Some men have deeply rooted needs to be appreciated, to prove themselves as 'Heroes' and to be needed for their fine character traits such as their great sense of family. They find themselves at a time in their life when they are not the prime age for marriage anymore, maybe in their late thirties or early forties. These men for whatever reason realize that it's time to settle down. A lot of these men would prefer a woman with a child for the obvious factors such as to test their parenting skills before making a child of their own......food for thought.

It depends on the guy.. I says alot about a guy who can date a girl with a kid. I had a kid when I met my husband and he has always treated as if she was his own. If your considering dating a girl with a kid I say go for it. Having kid doesn't mean she can't date and have a normal relationship and I'm sure she's not looking for you to become the kids father. You should try it the girl might be really great.

Any guy who likes a girl for her kids is a weirdo.
A guy may like a girl, and he may also like her kids. He may not like her kids at all. It depends on the kids and on the situation. For the right girl and the right chemistry, a guy will give the kids a chance. Hopefully they're potty trained. If their still in diapers, you may be waiting for a while.

all the guys I've talked to say the ONLY way they would ever date a woman who had kids would be:
1 - they have proof of a tubal ligation and the kids are amost grown
2 - they want to start an instant family
all the other guys said they would run the other way because:
1 - the kids always come first
2 - dating is a hassel - baby sitters early evenings
3 - kids may become attached
4 - if kids become attached he may be on the hook for child support if/when they break up
5 - if he doesn't want kids... and she becomes pg.. then guess what? she will HAVE the kid!!! he ends up paying child support.
so.... thats what I've heard.

Well that really depends on the guy and what he wants...if he is ready and is serious abt a gurl then I don’t think he would really mind a women having a child..but there r other factors..like the baby's daddy...most people both men and women prefer not to have the "baby-daddy or baby's mamma" drama... if he is like a jealous kind then that can cause a problem cuz ur baby's dad is gonna come c ur child...
I think the best thing is to talk to the guy and ask him how he feels abt this... I think its a 50-50% chance...and it also depends on past experiences and their perception.

I think that it really depends on the guy. Also, I think that they usually assume that there's going to be drama with "your baby's daddy", *I hate that phrase* so they may back off a little bit. But, every guy is different.
I was seeing this one guy who didn't mind being around my daughter and I. This other guy ALWAYS insisted that I find a babysitter when we would go out. Another guy was telling me how he always wanted a little girl (a little fast, I know- I'm not seeing him anymore). But, then again, my dad adopted me when I was 5. He had no problem- obviously- with my mother having a kid.

What age are you talking about? Young, no shows irresponsibility and it would be a real pain in the *** having to deal with a girl who can't go out on a whim. Older, makes more sense with all the divorce out there, but me personally, while I love my friends kids to death, I have no intrest in raising someone elses kid. If a guy specifically seeks out women with kids he has pedophile written all over him too, btw.

Sure...the one's who are descent and respectable. My husband married me with a 8 and 9 yr old. The guys who aren't interested aren't worth your time.

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?13Y1
Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.
