Well, sometimes older sisters are mean (I know because I am one) because that they don't realize what they have. Or they spend so much time with their little sisters that they don't appreciate them as much as they should. And even it is because they are under alot of pressure from friends, parents, teacher, etc. , etc. I have learned also their are sometimes just mean sisters in the world. She May have A Lot On Her Plate Right Now. Did You Try Talking To her About This, And Telling Her That It Really Hurts You When She Is So Mean To You. It Could Be That She Might Be A Little Jealous Of You, And The Only Way To deal With this Is To Be A Little Mean. Either Way You Will Never Know Unless You Tell Her.

I have an older sister too (and an older brother >_>;) and yeah, sometimes she is mean to me. But I think it just goes with age or maybe she's just "that kind of personality." I've learned to be immune to it and accept it as is. Because believe it or not, she loves you (even though she won't admit it). So cheer up ^_^

She admires you and she love you, she does not want you to know that and it may be her way of hiding her feelings.If you speak with her and let her know how you feel about the way that she is treading you, she may realize that she need to change a little and also tell her that she is an important piece in your life and that you love her that may change the way that she is treading you.

Thats the way with older siblings believe me I have an older brother. He loves me to death but he just chooses to show it in another way. I think you should approach her about her attitude and make it known to her how much she hurts you when she is mean to you. It might be hard for her at first but it will come and when it does make it known to her how much it meant to you and it will continue. Just try not to make her mad.

Greet her at the door with a PROFOUNDLY SERIOUS "Sis I love you very, very much...but lately I haven't felt that you Love me". Please be more considerate of my emotional needs and less of your 'Yackety Yack' type of behavior which I find very abusive towards ME. If you don't love I'll find me another sister who will.
And I won't Love you anymore.

You could try asking for one for Christmas but don't hold your breath. But seriously all I can suggest is act nice to her and maybe she'll feel a little guilty about the way she treats you. ;o)

if she is in her teens there may be very little that you can do to change her attitude. it is controlled by hormones. what you might want to try is giving her space. don't get in her way or bother her and you won't have to worry about her being mean.
