I have been with a man that wasn't circumcised and it looked so ugly and gross, not that they are beautiful peices of art work but it was gross to look at, there is no differance in sex, but the man that did not have a circumcision would get infections and give me infections and that is just nasty!!!

I am puzzled about these comments on cleanliness.
First - when the baby is very young - it is horrific to see diarreah on the circumcised, raw penis. You immediately understand why the penis has a foreskin.
Second - The intact penis basically has a self-cleaning mechanism. It is not a problem as long as your kids bathe/shower. Make sure the pediatrician is familiar with intact penises.
Third - The foreskin contains so much of the sexual sensation for the male. You're worried about how women will feel about your son's foreskin - you should worry how he will feel without it.
Fourth - Really terrible things happen in a small percentage of cases. You go from the merely intended mutilation up to full penis loss. What a risk for an unneeded procedure.
Fifth - I agree with the people who say at least wait and let your son make this choice as a man. Don't mutilate him and make him live with it. Keep him intact and give him options.
Six - We are all horrified by female genital mutilation - let's get the same horror for this ancient, barbaric practice being done on our sons.
Seven - The intact penis on a child is lovely to look at - indeed a work of art as someone referred to here, but negatively, as I could read it. All the cherub statutes and paintings show the intact penis all european men were lucky enough to have in the 'olden days.' A baby boy who is intact is simply much lovlier than one who has been mutilated.
Eight - whatever you do - human milk is a birthright - not getting it on demand leads to lower iq, and higher risk of diabetes and cancers. it also helps bonding. Also, day care is horrific for babies and toddlers. Far better you circumcise than use day care, but how about treating the kid like a person in all ways and respecting all his needs?

I have had both circumcised and uncircumcised partners and found the circumcised ones were cleaner and smelled nicer 'down there'. Intercourse did not feel different either way but it was different learning to give oral to an uncircumcised man. I chose to circumcise my sons because it cuts down on possible infections and also somewhat minimizes transmition of disease. If you are against having your child circumcised none of these reasons should change your mind. Infections can be kept to a minimum by proper hygene and most diseases can be avoided by using condoms.

I have only been with circumcised but a friend was with an uncut partner and she said their is no sexually difference. A friend of mine wasn't circumcised and decide to have it done in his late 20s. He said their was no sexually difference for him. I had both my boys circumcised because their father is.

I had my son circumcised (in 1985) because that was the medical recommendation at that time. It no longer is medically recommended, and is purely a cosmetic thing.
My husband is intact and glad that he is. Apparently, circumcised men lose a lot of sensation.
From a woman's perspective, there is no difference between cut and uncut men. When they are erect, you can't tell the difference.

It's totally your choice. I circumcised my son. Just keep in mind, if you do not circumcise him you really have to teach him proper cleaning. If you do circumcise him it will be easier for him to maintain, and because most men are circumcised, it will be easier on his worries when he does become sexually active. More and more people are not circumcising, though. If you really want some information on it, search it through yahoo.

How do you feel about female circumcision I ask this as there is very little to do with cleanliness and more to do with an age old mindset that it the right think to do. On one hand baby boys are being mutilated at a very young age were as young girls are mutilated between the ages of 8 - 12. Let's face it, neither are catalogue parts. There in place for a reason. If you teach your child to clean themselves with care there is very rarely need for concern.

had both - prefer intact (more to play with, moister and more sensitive) - no difference during sex though and I woudl never recommend anyone be circumcised unless they had a serious medical condition that made it essential.

OMG, yes circumcise! I've had both, I totally prefer circumcised! It's cleaner and not implying anything at all, but it decreases risks of getting and spreading STDs, it's scientifically proven.

Circumcise your son. It will be easier in the longrun. They can get infections in that area and I heard that the HIV virus can live longer in the foreskin also.
