My Shepherd/Greyhound mix was named after my brother in law. There were 5 people standing around and she walked around, sniffed everyone but kept going back to Alex and laying on his feet, so I named her Alexis.
My Chihuahua/Dachshund mix is dominant Chihuahua and loves spicy stuff, so I named her Luna, cause she is black like the night with white fur dusted on her chest like stars.
My Husband and I plan to adopt a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy when he gets back from deployment. My Hubby wants to name him Copeland. I don't know why, it's the name of a restaraunt, but he says he likes it so....

My old dog was Grey Hound/Sheppard his name was Hermes (after the greek god) we have since had to put him down, but he has always been and always will be my favorite dog, we have also had a Dobie, his name was Apolo and my latest dog was a Rott, he was found at the company I work for that makes drill machines and got the name Driller
