In book of levitius, chapter 11, v,7, it is recorded that god declares the pig to unclean for all belivers . then in verse 8 god says"you must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you" the comand is repeated in deuteronomy 14:7-8.
then in isaiah 65:2-4 and 66:17 god issues a stern warning against those who eat pork.
some people are aware of this prohibition from god.
some say they can eat porkbecause st. paul said that all food is clean in his letter to romans14:20. st. paul said this because he believed (as he wrote in his letter to ephesians 2:14-15) that jesus has to abolished the law with all its commandmens and regulations. st. paul seem to have misunderstood what he heared about jesus. in gospel according to mathews 5:17-20, jesus is reported to have said quite the contray , as follows"DO NOT THINK THAT I HAVE COME TO OBOLISH THE LAW"
i have a lot to write my friends but no more room i have proof that pork is unclean to all believers.e-mail me

St Paul may have been hard of hearing.

Pretty wacky that Christians have been eating pork for 2000 years because they didn't have hearing aids in ancient times.

Jesus PREDICTED the removal of the law in Matthew 5:18. Your "proof" must be lies.

Matthew 5:17-18 Says Jesus didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. It ALSO LOOKS FORWARD to the time when IT WOULD BE DESTROYED.

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think I have come to get rid of what is written in the Law or in the Prophets. I have not come to do that. Instead, I have come to give full meaning to what is written. 18 What I’m about to tell you is true. Heaven and earth will disappear before the smallest letter disappears from the Law. Not even the smallest stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law UNTIL EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED.

-- If the law were not to be set aside, the "until everything is completed" clause is meaningless.

Do you not think that God is smart enough or powerful enough to rid Scripture of something that is false? This Paul that you talk about is a Saint and a Martyr for the Faith. If a person followed Jesus and not Mohammad they would know the truth in their heart. Besides did you not read also that Jesus said that it is not what enters a man that defiles him (makes him unclean) but, what comes out of his mouth. What comes out of his mouth is from his heart. This is also in Scripture.

God!! moses, pass those Laws.
When Jesus came, he did away with those laws!! In Mathew, somebody it's eating pork. Somebody tells Jesus. Christ asnwered: The sin is not what goes into your' stomach. He continued: The sin is what comes out of you'r mouth!! Talking about a family member, a friend! I hope you get it!!

Jesus came to earth as a human, not only to sacrifice his life so that we might have the hope of living forever here on earth, but to fulfill the Mosaic Law Covenant. That is why as Christians we no longer have to sacrifice animals on an altar to atone for our sins. Please read this Scripture and it will assure you that you may eat pork and give thanks for it--"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving. For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."
(1 Timothy 4:1-5 )

he said do not think that i have come to abolish the law, but to bring about a new one (that's a paraphrase) the law against pork was to protect the jews from disease, since pigs are naturally unclean animals... nowadays, we have the technology to have pork that is disease free, so get your story straight, learn how to spell, and worry about things more important than what you eat, like not being a douche bag.

In Romans 14:3 Paul says "Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.

Romans 14: 19-20 says "Therefore let us pursue things which make for peace & the things by which one may edify another. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things are indeed pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense."

Basically, we are to eat as our faith, conscience, and belief allow. We are not to make it an issue or to judge each other b/c of what we eat (or choose not to eat.)

Yeah, and? If I lived in the Middle East 3000 years ago, I probably wouldn't eat pork either. But I don't. I live in the UK now, and there is nothing wrong with pork.

Why do you assume we are your friends. I think you are probably a prat. The bible also says that Noah saved the kangaroos by building a bid boat. Do you believe that too?

I am writing this, so you will believe it. You owe me £10,000. Please put a cheque in the post.

Do you know what trichinosis is? People in biblical times didn't, so they had a fit over pork being "unclean". You do know what it is and how to avoid it, so why don't you relax for a minute, breathe, and have some bacon.

You did this just a few days ago. Apparently you didn't read the biblical responses. Here's mine, again:

"For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and is expelled as waste." (Thus he declared all foods clean.)" (Mark 7:19)

Leave it alone now. Goodness!
