I don't think Indians are from the Middle East. But Indian immigrants have faced less obstacles than any other ethnicity. Indian immigration didn't start until the this last 2 decades, where the issue of prejudism/racism was less controversial than when the Japanese, Chinese, Africans, etc. immigrated. Most (majority, not all) of the Indians that come to the U.S are married students pursuing a Masters or PhD, hence, they entered the U.S legally.

No different than any other immigrant. Just follow the rules pay the fees, and get in line.
