I think you may have mistaken her moving them and vigirously cleaning them as eating them. Our cat had kittens this week and that is what it looks like when she's with them but they are fine.

You have a full time job for the next six weeks or so! Premature kittens are very difficult to raise, but you are off to a good start by keeping them warm. You will need an eyedropper or a doll's bottle to feed them, and after they have eaten, you have to massage their tummies to stimulate their excretory system. The mother cat does this by licking them. You don't have to do that, you can just massage their tummies with your finger. But you do have to be sure that they have a small movement every day, and that they are getting enough liquid in their systems to piddle a bit as well. Dehydration is a very real danger. Check with a vet to find out what you should be feeding them. They aren't calves, so cow milk has to be modified a bit. Sometimes the mother cat will nurse them after a day or so, especially if she has a lot of milk and is uncomfortable.
Good luck to you!

If the cat tried to eat them then she knows that they will soon die. If they are still moving and active then put them on the mom and see if they will nurse. If not then let nature take it's course. Not much you can do about that. If you are really concerned then call a vet and ask for advice, they will try to help you....sorry about the kittens~good luck.

Your on the right track by keeping them warm. you need to go to a pet store or some grocery stores may have it,but there is a kitten formula called Kmr, get it. and use an eyedropper to try to nurse them. I really hate to say this but try not to get too attached the likleyhood they will survive is not good. It is possible though that they will so give it your best shot.

You should just call animal control and allow them to take the kittens and do what they will they will try to save the ones that have a chance and at least humanely put down the ones that don't. Newborn kittens require as much attention as newborn babies, so unless you plan on staying home all day for weeks, you better call your local Humane Society.

Take them to a veterinarian as soon as possible. If you can't afford that, then take them (well-blanketed for travel) to an animal shelter or animal rescue group where foster nurturers can feed them and care for them until they are strong enough and old enough for adoption.

call your Vet and let them know about the situation, sometimes the Vet Techs are willing to help with the bottle feeding since mom's not taking care of them and then get the momma spayed!

you mean premature? The mom cat probably wasn't trying to eat them, just clean their fur. They need to be by their mom so they can nurse. Licking their fur is natural for mom cats, it stimulates the babies to move and nurse.

Imagine the poor things, Not able to breathe, suffering, it would be better to let them go on. (don't do anything bad to them, just treat them as if they were regular kittens, just leave mommy out) God will welcome them with open arms, a new body, and everlasting life if they pass on.
