Take a walk and gather up as much leaves as you can find..different ones... then have the children past the leaves on art paper and together you look up what each leave is called. then you write the names of them under the leaves with the help of the children..this gives you guys time together kinda like a field trip and you get to enjoy the last of the semi warm days..get enough leaves that you can draw on or trace..lay a piece of paper over the leaves and have the children lay a crayon flat on its side and run the crayon up and down the paper to make an impression of the leaves..its simple but it will keep them busy and they will learn a little about trees also..
