why do dogs bark? It is because no one pays any attention to them.. They love to have attention and it is the poor dogs that suffer.. The fault is with the owner(s) and NOT the dogs so please do not poison the dogs.. perhaps poisoning the owners is a better solution. I suspect that it would do not good to talk to the owners so the next thing is to notify the police and have them look into it and have THEM talk to the owners.. I feel so sorry for the dogs. If people can not mingle with their dogs.. give them some time.. then they should NOT have any pets

Put in a noise complaint every time the dogs bark past 11 at night. Enough complaints and the owners will be forced by law to do something. This comes under ByLaw enforcement.

Call the police when it happens. They will come out and talk to the dog owners. Poisoning animals is a crime, and can get you a home with much more annoying neighbors than barking dogs.

Are you my neighbor?? Seriously - I have a puppy that I am crate training and he does bark loud enough to wake me (which is pretty loud cuz I'm a sound sleeper). I will tell him to be quiet and he does, but he does start again as soon as he hears someone else moving around. He's not alone in the room where the crate is, our other dog is there too - he's just doing it because he wants to be with us. He's still going through his chewing phase and I can't leave him out without him chewing on the wrong things - even though they have chew toys & rawhides. He is still going through potty training as well, and do not wish to have a house where the carpet smells like dog pee! I truely apologize - it is a phase I hope he will grow out of soon. Plus when the new Petco opens in town, I will get him a "no-bark" colar as well.

Please don't poison the dogs!! It's not their fault!!Maybe they are hungry or just simply neglected and cry for attention. Please contact the Humane Society in your area to investigate these dogs and their owners. Hopefully they can solve your problem and hopefully the dogs if that is an issue. If they are of no help make a police report for excessive barking. Good luck.

Call the cops or go over to the old person and say please shut the dogs up your keeping us awake. Then take a pie and hit it in there face and see what would happened and then when the cops come tell them that she or he wouldn't make the dogs stop barking and put some pie on your face and say we got into a food fight. I did it be for it was awsome.

Have you tried to talk to the owners at all about it? If not, maybe you can try asking in a nice, civil manner. It is possible that they may be oblivious (how could they be, right??). If they are rude and don't give a care, then I think you can report them to the police for disrupting the peace.

If you've asked your neighbor to bring the dogs in or something, and they aren't willing to work with you, call the police and make a noise complaint. It's called public disturbance or something like that. They can actually be fined.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
