By getting suspended he is getting what he wants: to not go to school! You should speak with the administration of the school to talk about your options. Why doesnt he want to go to school? Is he having trouble with the work? If so, he perhaps needs an individual learning plan. Is the work so easy for him that he is bored? If so, is there an advanced class he can take part in? Is he being harrassed? Is it because he simply wants to stay asleep until noon and go to bed a three am like he did in the summer? If so, he needs to be made to go SOMEWHERE even when he is suspended. That might be looking into programmes at your local YMCA (they have a suspension programme at my local YMCA- not the gym, but the community center).

You blister his *** until he learns the meaning of disapline! Time out is a joke! Just look at these kids today with "time out"! Very effective wouldn't you say? Kids running around with guns and drugs, sex in the streets with 14 year olds giving birth, schools that are more dangerous than the front lines of a war!
If the good old *** whooping doesn't do the trick then it's off to the detention center for some military style disipline! He'll definitely understand that english for sure!

I had this same problem. The first thing is to realize that you cannot solve this problem, your son has to. It is your job to help them realize that they need an education to move on to the next phase of their life. Look into a program in your state that may offer a military style school. I live in the state of Michigan and the program here is called Michigan Youth Challenge Academy. It is a voluntary program that the youth has to agree to going to. It can be a tough challenge to get them to go but if you do not they are on a path to fail. Feel free to email me and I would be glad to talk with you directly

I'd give the kid a pat on the back. Way to be a rebel, kid. Keep it up.
Now, if you really want him to knock it off, get him put on lithium or an antipsycotic medication. He won't do anything but sit around all day and sometimes shuffle his feet (and maybe write some awesome grunge songs in the case of lithium), but no more rebellion.

Not enough information here, need a few more details. In general, I'd have a sit down with him and ask him what is going on? I'd also probably call his school principal or guidance councelor and get their take on the situation and see what recommendations they had to offer, such as professional counceling and/or alternative schooling. Good luck to you.

Try and figure out what the problem is and get him help from a psychiatrist if he won't talk to you.
