Depending on my mood, it could be my friend or enemy. Haha.

The mirror can be both, it can be your friend and it could be your enemy. See, if you have a high self esteem then it's your friend. If you feel good about the way you look it's your friend. But, if you have a low self esteem it's your enemy. If you don't like the way you look it's your enemy. But, if it's your enemy I can just say accept yourself for the way you are and if that don't help listen to your friends and family.

The mirror is neither a friend or an enemy- the mirror doesn't tell you what to think of yourself, you tell you what to think of yourself.
I'm my enemy. I'm far too hard on myself.

Hi November
First of all i must compliment u ( in October) for a really witty question. Most of us never ponder over this phenomena of being obsessed with our own looks. I personally feel that a mirror is a silent, independent, frank and free observer who every morning tells you to take care of u. I m also reminded of a couplet by a Urdu poet who said that " stop rubbing the mirror, the fault is in you(r face)."

Of course mirror is a friend , as it tells the truth though the truth is hard sumtimes to accept but whatever it is, it prevents us from being a laughing figure 4 others.

For females, it is your best friend for about 35 years, then it turns on you with a cold glassy stab in the back and becomes your ENEMY for the rest of your life! Sad but true....:(

mostly my enemy, although in all actuality it is my self-esteem that is the enemy, not the mirror, but self esteem is a far greater advasery.
