Ryan G is almost correct...
Your neurological system develops from birth until about age 6. During this time your brain is making the connections that will set your IQ..
After age 6 this is set and you cannot add to these connections.
Having said that... There is an ongoing study that is trying to prove your body undergoes another "growth spurt" in your mid teen years but that has not yet been confirmed.

Ryan is incorrect. IQ tests can't measure your genetic intelligence. It measures your mental ability, which you can improve just like lifting weights will improve your strength. Taking a home computer course is not likely to do much, but if you read a lot, and take a lot of math classes, your IQ will definitely improve.

No they don't, you can't improve your IQ. IQ does not change. It's the intelligence you were born with.
For those who completely disagree with me, then why not try telling a Psychologist that you can raise your IQ. It doesn't measure how smart you are, just your capacity. You can't raise your capacity. For those who correct me, I may not be 100% correct, and I respect your opinions, but I am still skeptical.

Probably. Constant exercise of the brain helps keep it fit! Also, some of the programs will be asking the same sorts of questions a real IQ test might have. Practice makes better!
And... exercising your brain may slow the onset of senility and Alzheimer's.

Although in theory your IQ is supposed to remain constant throughout your life, I don't believe it. I believe that the more you exercise your brain (reading, math, etc) you will improve its ability to see relationships and patterns, grasp concepts, use data, etc.

I even have continually been interior the honors software all in the time of faculty, I now pass to the college of Arizona's Honors college, yet I even have no longer in any respect felt good with what you call the "giftie" human beings. In my stories i come across those human beings to be slender minded and afraid to take negative aspects. There are massive adjustments in those 2 communities yet its ordinarily one sided. bear in mind which you % to be in an honors software, the "reggies" do no longer make any determination they do only what they might desire to. the international is packed with "reggies" and so which you may desire to study to be waiting to narrate to them. To me, honors little ones may well be very judgmental and think of that they are extra powerful than anybody else. all anybody is equivalent yet anybody have skills. Get out of that crew of "gifties" and connect the actual international.
