I am the type of person who tends to worry easily and excessively. I may exaggerate a minor problem as a really big deal. What can I do to stop worrying so much about everything?

Retrain your thinking. Busy yourself with something immediately when worry starts up.
If you're worried, remember, there is nothing to be worried about.
Are you dead? If not, there is nothing to worry about.
If you ARE dead, are you in Heaven? If so, there is nothing to be worried about.
If not, you'll be so busy shaking hands with old friends you won't have time to worry.

You may need anti-anxiety medication. You may also need to try some different stress relievers to take your mind off all your worries. You're just going to make yourself sick. Believe me I've been there.

sounds like you might have OCD, suggest you see a therapist or a psychiatrist for appropriate treatment.
