Of course it is and the best bit about it is that your permenantly remove the hair follicles from your skin so your never have to repeat the process again!
I would go easy on the aftershave though, might sting a bit.

Yes it is, but a a hand plane will take the skin in much neater strips.

I wouldnt do it because your skin would be a soft and as smooth as God gave it to you when you were born. that was His gift to you dont alter it for any reason whatsoever?
