Dump lemon water over your head (highly concentrated lemon water) and don't leave it in too long because yes, it will lighten your hair. That should either cover up or eliminate the smell. You can also try using tomato juice, if it gets rid of skunk smell it should work for cod liver oil. What the hell posessed you to put that crap in your hair?? If you want to make it soft and shiny next time go to the store and buy a hot oil treatment or something. Good luck and hey, look at it this way, if the smell doesn't go away before your date it will be an interesting topic of conversation.

Try a rinse of vinegar. Plain white vinegar and keep doing it until your hair feels as though the oil fragrance is gone. Then give yourself a shampoo with one of those Queen Helene products that smells like mint. Very refreshing. shampoo several x's if needed....Next time you want to condition, use Peter Coppola's protein pack: can order on QVC or go online...

apply vinegar to your hair....rinse out...then apply some shampoo and rinse out.....repeat the vinegar step a few times...it does work !

If nothing happens....postpone the date....say you feel alittle under the weather...;-) (its better than showing up on a date smelling like a fish)
