Admit. They'll find it out sooner or later, and if you don't immediately have the money to cough up when they ask, there's gonna be big trouble. Not to mention the fact that they're gonna wonder why you didn't bring it to their attention.

It happend to me three times with the same company. Twice they gave me an extra paycheck for the same amount, then another time they paid me 3x my hourly rate. But everytime it happend, I let them knoe, and return the extra checks. They gave me a bonus afterwards for my good deed.

I would let your payroll department know. They more then likely will deduct it from your next check

I too have been over paid and they catch the error and take it from my next pay check...Which does suck, because that extra money is nice having!

My first response would be keep it but then again whomever paid you will realize thier mistake and ask for it back....if you spent it they will expect to be paid back. I had a $1000.00 check come in from Income Tax by the govt. by mistake....exactly a day later I recieved a letter thanking me in advance for mailing the check back to them. Had I spent it I would have had to pay it back or be in serious trouble.

Let them know right away and make arrangements to pay it back. It's only right and you'll feel better about yourself too. You obviously are feeling guilty or you wouldn't have brought it up. You can't go wrong by doing the right thing so......do the right thing.

Of course you admit it. How were you raised?
Seems like most people are saying to admit it only because you'll get caught anyway--what about being HONEST? Is this how lousy we've become?

If you are an Atheist you would have given it back already .
If you are a Christian you would have donated it to your church saying that it was a miracle from god .
