Because he is smarter than you and realizes you can't resort to "cookie-cutter" policies treating every regime, every country, every crisis, as the same. Every situation calls for an intellectual evaluation of options. You may not agree with them, but one size does not fit all in politics or diplomacy!

Bush wanted to start the plan for world wide hedgemony, Bush and
his cabal beleive that all the worlds resouces belong to the elite that
uses NSA, CIA and US military to steal the wealth of other countrys.
They do this by World Bank loans to small countrys with mineral
wealth and then take all the rights to the minerals. If they cannot
buy off the countrys leaders they declare them terrorist and invade.
Why? Irag. It was the weakest link and put it in the middle of Syria
and Iran. They hope to use this as a base to invade Iran. The invasion of Afghanistan was to run the oil pipline down from the
former satellite russia countrys to the gulf of Persia. It was all about oil every where. Your answer to North Korea is Russia
and China. Also to Iran. Any attack on Iran will cause a third
world war with Israel disappearing off the map I beleive. Any
attack would be the end of America and Bush I beleive as the
whole world would condem him as a war criminal. I beleive that
US military would become involved. The best police is for Bush
to Fire Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Gonzales and get on a plane
with me to Iran and Korea. We could solve all problems in a couple of days and Bush would be a hero for bringing peace to the world. The way they are going we will have to fight for the next hundred years and lose all.

Here's some thoughts:

Kim Jong IL didn't try to arrange the killing of his father.
North Korea doesn't have oil (or anything else of value)
North Korea was more likely to act irrationally and use nuclear or chemical weapons against invading troops. (Even prior to invading Iraq the question of how far along North Korea's nuclear program was raised, and North Korea is clearly not a rational state.)
Any threat of military action by the US at this point would carry much weight since they are already over extended. That's not to say the US can't ramp up their military in a serious way but that would involve a lot of sacrifices.

Come on it has been over 5 years since Bush has been in office When are Republicans going to stop playing the Clinton card. When you have to put down another to make yourself look good then you are just not doing your job.
When Clinton was in office N. Korea did not have a nuke .
When are you guys going to see that Bush is not an American God.
The answer is oil .
N Korea has made a declaration of war saying they would nuke us.
Bush has no more resources to devote to N Korea he is using them all on Iraq.

FYI : I believe in Afghanistan. Just not Iraq.

Just how do you know George Bush will not come close to threatening NK? Is that not the mistake Saddam made not once but twice.

The President is keeping his options open. Do you really expect him to tell every one what he is going to do In NK?

As for WMD in Iraq can't any one figure out that we gave them plenty of time to remove them. Just because they were not there when we went in does not mean they were never there in Iraq. Even Slick Willie acknowledged that fact.

I realize you dems/libs think we are morons and fools but what kind of fool announces to the world when and where they are going to hit the bad guys?

George Bush will take his time and strike at the time of his choosing and with the force he chooses.

Being a world leader like Bush calls for dealing with every issue correctly. The press keeps screwing up our efforts by failing to understand the impact they are having with negative stories. Kim Jong III gets his news from CNN. Is it any wonder he things that blowing up some nukes will get him what he wants. N Korea will take time to fix. (been going on for over 60 years) Bush is doing it just right.

i would like to see this oil everyone is mentioning , we should take it to pay for expenses but we still haven't

saddam refused inspections from the un , bush gave him a warning if you remember that if we can't inspect we will attack ( i don't remember the exact words but you get the idea ) he refused so bush kept his promise , of course we did vote on the war and it was passed , people forget that also

give north korea a couple of weeks before we threaten his military , he is trying to do this peacefully

There's no oil in North Korea

Duh.

Because we knew all along Iraq never had WMDs and thus was no threat. North Korea has been suspected for a while.

Plus, an attack on Iraq is an attack on Iraq. North Korea is the extremist wing of Communist China.

Don't underestimate Our President,He'll do what he has to do to protect this country. The President wasn't eager to take out Saddam, he had 17 resolutions, plenty of chances to abide by the UN rules. He ignored all.
