The thing is I get freaked out when a stranger talks to me and I end up saying hello then asking a million questions about the person. So when a stranger or strangers want to talk to me what should I say? I'm afraid to tell there other person(s) anything about me b/c of all the news on tv about internet preditors. Any idea's on what to say or do?

I don't deserve all those tumbs down. I got into 2 conversations with complete strangers and turned them to crap b/c I didn't know what to say.

Talk not about your citizen`s data, but discuss commonly interesting topics or share interesting experiences.
"Hi, asl?" is not a conversation ;-)

Find common ground - eg find out if there's something you both have an interest in , so its ok to ask a question like "What kind of interests and hobbies do you have?". Once you get this answer, see if theres anything that you also like, then you can talk about that particular item as a starting point. Then gradually, you can start to talk about other more personal stuff.

First, learn to trust your instincts. Hone your judgments. Most people, however strange, are fine. Begin with that premise but stay alert. Convince yourself you can handle him if he turns out to be a creep. That you'll know and get away before it is "too late." Having faith in ones self, and ones friends, is paramount in these situations. Any doubts, always make certain you are in a public space. Keep thinking, and you'll learn that TV is often alarmist, most people are okay. And if a bad one strays by, he'll go away, because you are too smart.

Keep the talk casual but sincere. You can discuss the weather,starting school, a book you are reading. Any casual subject is fine. Be sure to tell them that you have enjoyed talking with them.

don't tell about personal informaton, duh! just tell what is your views or opinions about something, give him a fake info. intimadate him. and just say "NO! im not going to answer that." or "just say sorry, im not giving any info." goodluck!

i was like dat at 1st just talk to them like if u knew then how u doin ?any girlfriend or boyfriend if so talk bout them wat u like to do dont b scared trust me it well work out ask wat they like to do. wat sports music u can talk bout anythin best part u run the show!
