I was watching T.V. and a produce producer was complaining about the lack of help. Whos fault is it ? you pick ..

A. The American people for wanting laws enforced.

B. The illegal immigrants for taking off back to Mexico, or finding a new way to suck America dry

C. His own damn fault for not getting his labor force lined up before harvest season began.

I pesonally say " C " , He should of had his labor force ready ahead of time, rather he had to pay Americans a living wage , or if he was in dire need get his forms together to legally hire migrant workers. He waited till the last minute, and went to go get some illegals and could not find any.

javy - Migrant workers are acceptable, however you need to get your forums filled out in advance. Employers don't want to hire Migrants because they need to pay them minimum wage, and also provide housing and shelter if needed. All this guy wanted to do was pay some one 2 bucks a hour and get rich off the money he was saving, which is one step above slave labor if you ask me.

GameGiver - Migrant workers are acceptable, to say that farmers need to hire illegals is a lie. What did they do before the illegal population boom ? Besides hiring migrant workers can be done legally, but he would be required to treat them like humanbeings. The truth be he was banking on getting some illegals to do it cheap, and it did not pay off for him. If he would of managed his operation better, his harvest would of been a success, all he is doing is making blame for the hardship he delt himself.

C - the government can not hold their hand every step of way and explain in great detail what to do and when and how. To me it sounds like a personal problem

Whoa! GameGiver senses a little hostility! Everyone's mad at the illegals. You'd think they'd broken the law! Ha! Anyway, the issue is a little deeper than it seems. You see, the produce business is not a high margin business. How many produce farmers do you see in an S-Class Benz? He has to keep his costs low to turn a profit. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't want to pick any peaches. Also, most teenagers (the ones that would be most likely to pick peaches) can get a job at your local McDonald's making more. So, as you can see, he doesn't have a very deep labor pool. The migrant workers, however, are in the predicament that they can't work at McDonald's (those pesky social security numbers) so they have to take a low paying job because their options are low, which is a ton of money compared to what they were making. Anyway, without the migrant workers, poor ol' produce man will have to compete with Mickey D's wages to get help which makes his business less profitable, and, since it's so labor intensive, he might have to shut it down. Unless, of course, he can get the homeless crowd. They ain't doing nothing, and they're legal!

i think of what you're speaking approximately is the guy that comes over on a pupil Visa and not in any respect leaves. If the government all started preserving the colleges for those visas and making specific they pass away whilst the coaching is done or the guy drops, then the challenge would be dealt with. it quite is likewise actual of the artwork visas. it quite is the reason many state we ought to continually carry the corporate accountable and that must be actual for the tutorial establishments. anybody ought to call ICE the minute you right here of any professional demo occurring on might a million. verify all of the IDs and ensure that's the voters of the USA that are there, no longer a gaggle of Illegals.

C.
He should have had American citizens ready to work for a decent wage. Oherwise, his crops will rot in the field. He would be better off paying up and getting the crops harvested.
