Where is the best place to put a tattoo, and what tattoo would you get in that spot?

Just so you know, I don't plan on getting a tattoo anytime soon, I am not even of age yet, but I am just curious to see what tattoos people would get or what tattoos they have and stuff

Don't get a tattoo just to get one. There are so many people who will be stuck with tattoos that don't really mean anything to them when they're 70. (For example, a friend who got a huge logo on her back of some skateboarding company or something, and another friend who got some stars on her stomach just because a friend got them on her stomach.) Only get a tattoo if it means something to you. For example, I'm into feminism, so I might consider getting the female symbol if I were to get a tattoo.
Keep in mind that as you age, your body will change and the tattoo won't look the same as it does when you first get it. You might get pregnant, gain weight, start to sag, etc. Don't get a tattoo somewhere that will likely change a whole lot. I might recommend the ankle, since ankles don't get as fat, wrinkly, or saggy as the abdomen, breasts, and upper arms.
If you decide on what you want to get, keep it in mind, but wait a while to see if you still want it. By "a while," I mean a really long while (like a year). If you're still in your teens or early twenties, you'll probably end up changing a lot over the next couple of years, and you won't want to be stuck with something that you no longer like a few months or years down the road.

I have one on my lower back and one on my "groin" bone -- not sure how to explain that area, right up front on my lower abdomen... The one on my lower back can be hidden, but I still can't wear a bikini and have it hidden, and I have to be very careful when I bend down or bend over because it definitely shows when my shirt rises in the back. The one on front - that one definitely doesn't get seen by anyone except "special friends"! hahaha
I love both of my tattoos and would easily get another one if I could come up with a place on my body that I want it, and what I want to get.
The tattoos didn't "HURT" - it was more of an annoying buzzing pain like a bee sting, and then felt like a bad sunburn for about a week afterwards.

I have 4 tattoos, The 1st one is a lion cub laying on a log that is on my chest, the 2nd one is a moon with a lady's face on my shoulder, the 3rd one is a fairy on my calf, and the 4th one is a kokopelli (a kokopelli is a southwestern legendary man playing a flute) on the beach on my other calf.
I love my tattoos and never have regretted getting them.

the best place to put a tat is somewhere it can and cannot be seen. Be seen by friends in casual situations and not be seen in professional ones. What you get is up to you...a heart on your shoulder, your name across your lower back. I have a Pooh Bear on my ankle holding a balloon with my daughters name in it and a rabbit jumping out of a top hat on my chest.

i agree with others, lower back b/c you can cover it up to be professional, but at the same time you can show it off if ya want.
if you have a nice body, the front of your hip is pretty also...
get something that you are interested in..for example..i love frogs & mushrooms & lizards..lol..
NEVER get a guys/girls name tat. on you...unless its your dad, son, mom, daughter..ect..
if you go somewher cheap then more than likely you will get a cheap looking tat. think long and hard about your desicion...no spur of the moment things! it will always be on you! good luck!

NOT A TRAMP STAMP ON THE LOWER BACK. I can't express that enough. Anyone who gets one there is a child who thinks it's cool. Go for some place different.
I got a chinese dragon on my side just between my hip bone and ribs. It was VERY VERY painful. But worth it to me.

On myself, I love my tattoo on my side. It's incredibly flattering to my figure and it makes me feel sexy. Plus, it takes up my whole side so the only person who has seen it fully is the tattoo artist and my boyfriend.
On my boyfriend, or any guy really, I love when they have whole sleeves done. Especially if their fairly buff.

I don't like tattoos, but if you must get one, the breast. Or bottom, near the hip so you can see it. Get a flower or something. No names. Nothing too cute that you'll end up hating. Or maybe, reconsider your decision. And don't get one. I thought about a ship on my chest and and anchor on my forearm. Then I woke up one day!

A tattoo parlor it's more professional I have some home made 1s they was done by a guy that went professional! I've also seen jail house tats that almost always are covered up!

I love the one on the front of my tibia bone I get so many complements.
It is a Big Purple Hibiscus surrounded by tribal it is my fav flower and I love it!
