I have a little bother (13) who can't focus on school. He is a good kid but I can't seem to motivate him and him get interested in doing good or pay attention. He doesn't follow the teachers rules, does not do any of his work, all he wants to do is play around and disturb other students...Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can help him?

Well, was he good in school before and only recently lost focus? Do his friends care about doing well in school? Has he ever been tested for ADHD? Could he be smoking pot? Does he have any strong, healthy, male role models? There are so many reasons a 13 year old could be losing focus. Be available for him to talk to, be willing to accept and love him as he is right now, and be willing to ask the difficult questions...drugs, peer pressure, alcohol, bullies, girls. 13 year old boys have many,many concerns, make sure he has a good influence that he can trust.

if you can't motivate him punsh him. take enough away from him and stick with it untill he see's he is doing this to himself. reward good behavior, just please help him now cause as he gets older it will get worse i promise i have been there.... don't try to be his friend, be his parent. but NEVER forget to hug him and listen to him daily. talking is good but sometimes listening is the best

I think you should take him around town and introduce him to people of different professions which he would find interesting.
show him that it takes an excellent education to achieve his goals or to make lots of MONAYYY. LOL
